Beyond the Sea

I keep Chakra stones with my Chrysalis Tarot deck. They're roommates.

So last night I decided to use a Chakra spread with Chrysalis. It was just a check-in, like you might do by hopping on the scale to gauge your progress with weight loss/gain.

I lined the cards starting from the bottom. I know in yoga you usually begin breathing from your core or even lower in the root chakra to initiate your practice. (And then sometimes even lower, like starting with breathing in through your toes.) So I used  a format such as this.

**Here were my results:

7 (Crown Chakra) - The Divine Child

6 (Third Eye Chakra) - The Corsair

5 (Throat Chakra) - The Ravens

4 (Heart Chakra) - The Storyteller

3 (Solar Plexus Chakra) - The Nine of Spirals

2 (Sacral Chakra) - The Golden Flower

1 (Root Chakra) - The Sorceress

I was extremely pleasantly surprised by many of these. However, I also felt confident in the message at the same time . I have done quite a bit of purging and "cleaning" and trying to get to the root of me, of who I am, what I believe and desire for the betterment of my soul.

Even though this spread is not from the guidebook, I think it is extremely suitable for Chrysalis, especially since Chrysalis Tarot provides such extraordinary healing properties. I can say, with certainty, had some of the more "feared" cards been drawn I would take them into account and hold firm to the knowledge that it would be compassionate advice to work harder on that aspect of my energy. And I think your energy field rides the tide. Anything can make it shift, depending on how you cope and/or maneuver through your day-to-day routine.

I was riding a peace and love wave yesterday. ;)

Anyway, I wanted to make note that many of these cards have been coming up in personal daily draws. For instance, today, after a thorough shuffle, I pulled The Corsair.

To this, I chuckled. I said, "I see you, Mister. Let's roll." And you know what? He really has been instrumental in my road to soul recovery. Truly. The energy of this Troupe member is so fiery, which is fitting as he is from the Spirals (wands) suit. He is the captain of his ship. He makes his own rules but he leads. He is not in total anarchy. I feel like he's helped me to trust myself a whole lot more. When I see him, I feel like I've known him my whole life. I feel like we carry the same essence in many ways. I almost hear him saying, "Dig DEEP, Girl! It's right in front of you and in you. Grab it."

Aye, Aye, Cap'n! Whatever you say.

I want to see the world through The Corsair's eyes and do the same for others. It's about opening up, I think.

Endless possibilities, My Friends.

You know I can't end this without a song, right?

I have a theme for The Corsair. It's "In a Big Country" by Big Country. I love the lyrics and I could see him using them as a speech when the waves get rough and the mighty sea threatens your spirits.

"In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside.
  Stay alive."

Have a wonderful day!

**I think this is a good guide for beginners, in terms of what Chakras are and where they are located within your subtle body. **
